Angela Hiß is active in various media, whereby her path has led her chronologically from drawing and painting to sculpture. The material Hiß chooses for her works is always wood, which she works on with band saw, chain saw and jigsaw as well as with sander and sandpaper.

For the viewer, the appeal often lies in the mysterious nature of her works. This is intensified by the combination of the enigmatic image and the no less enigmatic title, which often has poetic or lyrical references.

The book presents sculptures and drawings from the last fifteen years and thus provides a comprehensive insight into the artist's work.
