The worldwide icons of architecture - recreated from food. With this light and playful project, the Baukunstarchiv NRW is attempting to promote the conversation about architecture and to bring the discourse on building culture to the wider society.
Building culture is often complex and therefore hardly suitable for a quick or even striking discussion. And this despite the fact that building, or at best building culture, affects everyone. Regardless of whether the evidence of the built reality of life reaches consumers intellectually or is just there, people are confronted with architecture and urban development every day.
The face of cities and towns shapes society and even has the power to influence it. The architecture of individual buildings and urban planning as an overall composition inspire, directly or indirectly. In this respect, building culture is an omnipresent means of enjoyment for all.
