For six years now, the festival "die digitale" has been held in Düsseldorf, giving expression to the significance of the digital in the visual arts and music. Through its thematic focuses on media overload ("digital overload") or the glorification of digital possibilities ("digital gods") to digital surveillance ("digital secrets"), the festival has always helped to reflect the relationship of art to society on the pulse of time. The publication looks back and presents an overview of the outstanding diversity of artistic works of the past years.
