Düsseldorf-based artist Horst Gläsker enriches public spaces in a variety of ways – from dance and music to sculpture and painting. His works are not only visual experiences, but also interactive encounters that transport the viewer into a world of color and form.
The exhibition catalog published by the Baukunstarchiv NRW offers a comprehensive insight into Gläsker's creative processes and an overview of his work. On display are large-scale models used to prepare his interventions, as well as selected works and photographs documenting his artistic development.
The focus is on his striking color concepts for public buildings, including the famous Wuppertal Staircase and the University of Duisburg-Essen. A highlight is the large-format mural "Tutti i Colori," which impressively demonstrates the diversity and vibrancy of Gläsker's art.
