The German government is currently searching for a final repository for the highly radioactive waste left behind by only a few generations within a couple of decades. However, the material must be stored safely for at least a million years. This book, a collaboration between Martin Lamberty and Jann Höfer, is a photographic exploration of the nuclear legacy of our time and the limits of the imaginable. How to photograph what can hardly be visualized? The project attempts to make both an abstract subject tangible and an invisible subject visible.
