With a selection of works from 2020 to 2023, the catalog traces the ongoing development of Justyna Janetzek's artistic practice, known for her abstract, technical, and constructive steel works. Extensive visual material and short explanatory texts present Janetzek's site-specific installations, which skillfully play with perception and the laws of physics.
Two new essays illuminate the artist's work from different perspectives. Special attention is also given to Janetzek's drawings, which in recent years have gained importance as an independent body of work. Originally conceived as conceptual sketches for the development of large-scale steel constructions, they have increasingly emancipated themselves from their purely auxiliary function.
