Since 1997, the annual Mart Stam Prize has been awarded by the Mart Stam Society, a non-profit promotional association of the Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin. Each year, an independent jury picks the best final exam works of the academy’s graduates for this award. The Mart Stam Society assists young artists and designers during their degree course and helps them embark on a professional career by offering recognition as well as concrete support for their development.
