Born in Offenburg in 1976, Steffen Lenk studied at the Freiburg branch of the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe. His works are characterized by a fulminant colorfulness and an experimental painterly style. Lenk works processually and primarily abstractly. His impasto overlapping layers of color, which characterize many of his paintings, are reminiscent of contemporary visual worlds of the electronic media, which constantly flood the world anew. The publication presents works from the last ten years.
