Architecture, typography, and graffiti have always been intimately linked. Many writers use buildings as a canvas to experiment with typography and graffiti. Most of them have tried their hand at designing their own signature font or, at the very least, thought about creating an entire alphabet based on the letters they use for their wall tags.
This publication showcases many legendary names from the graffiti scene. Some of them have even crafted fonts in their unique style specifically for this occasion. With its rich and diverse content, Typograffiti celebrates graffiti writers’ stylistic and cultural originality, while underscoring the vibrancy of their scene and the current relevance of their typographic art.
In addition to detailed presentations of writers and their fonts, the book includes testimonies and photos documenting real-life wall pieces that make use of their letters, serving as an inspiration for taggers, font designers, graphic artists, and art enthusiasts.
